It’s official! We are very proud to say that we now also have an office in Yokohama (Japan). “It’s the logical next step in our fast growing business in Japan. Usami Koichi, who is our local partner in Japan for over a decade now, will run the office. The plan is to increase our dealer network in Japan with up to 6 different distributors in different markets (lighting, audio, video…). Because we more often see an increase of business in other markets than only the lighting industry, we feel the stringent need to open the market in Japan and to move forward with a physical office and several new distributors,” says Bart Swinnen, CEO.

The new office is the ideal operating base to stay in close contact with many local partners and big brands and to explore other growing markets in East Asia. The goal is to double our turnover in Asia in the next year. This opening party in the Belgian embassy in Tokyo is a magnificent piece of the puzzle that we are putting together. Next month our headquarters in Belgium are also moving to a brand new building in Genk and we are planning to gradually double our amount of employees to up to 40 people.
