As a network technology leader in the AV industry, Luminex will be demonstrating a new version of Araneo, version 1.7.0 and two new additions to our GigaCore ethernet switch range.
The GigaCore 10i and GigaCore 16i.
Featuring 10G connectivity, unique redundancy options and a high port count in a compact ½ 19” format, these versions are ideally suited for compact installation setups in audio, video and broadcasting applications.
These developments mark another step forward in converged networking, to seamlessly integrate lighting, audio and video data all into one single network infrastructure. This solution has large potential to simplify the way that studio and broadcast professionals work, by providing a more efficient and cost-effective way to manage AV systems.

Luminex GigaCore is a range of Ethernet network switches that is developed to support converged AV networking. The GigaCore switch range, with its latest additions, the GigaCore 10i and 16i, is fully validated in real-world applications and with devices from major brands in the AV industry. This with a multitude of protocols, including AVB/Milan, NDI™, Dante™, AES67, ST-2110, IPMX, MA-Net, sACN and many more. Luminex Araneo, a network-wide AV management software, allows for monitoring and configuration of AV networks, including trouble shooting. The latest version of Araneo v1.7.0 has interesting new features especially for Lighting professionals and comes with further integration of MA3 devices, visualizing MANet data flow between MA devices and graphically displaying Session subscriptions and ID’s.
Araneo also has a unique health check feature that provides an extra layer of assurance in performance and consistency of the network. This feature allows users to easily identify and resolve network issues by automatically checking several critical parameters such as VLAN ID’s, IGMP settings, Group names, firmware versions and more, giving confidence to the user that all settings on all individual switches inside the network are consistent to one another.
