Release notes. Version 2.7.1 With this release, we will introduce new features and product improvements. Applicable Models: LumiNode range, LumiCore range. New Features Support for LumiNode 8-IP (including NFC communication) The LumiNode / LumiCore now supports the use of websockets. Websockets allow more efficient monitoring of status and configuration changes on the device. The documentation for the websocket API is available on each LumiNode / LumiCore with this firmware, by browsing to [IP_ADDRESS]/api/doc-ws.html. The web interface now shows the DMX port status for all DMX ports in the graphic representation on the top of the page. The web interface now shows the status of the network ports in the graphic representation on the top of the page. The web interface shows an icon in the graphic representation when contact closure is configured. This makes it easier to observe that the LumiNode / LumiCore is sending out sACN or Art-Net data because of the configured contact closure state. The web interface shows the status of process engine inputs. The information is displayed by hovering over the input. The web interface visualises the process engine output. This can be viewed by clicking the ‘eye’ icon inside a process engine. The web interface shows a green or red dot next to the device representation, indicating whether there is still active connection to the device. An HTTP REST client is now available on `/__rest-client.html`. This allows easier use of the LumiNode / LumiCore API for more advanced applications. Product Improvements ArtpollReply packets coming from LumiNode / LumiCore will now be unicasted instead of broadcasted. This is an improvement that had been added to the Art-Net specification and allows for better scalability of Art-Net networks. Various web interface improvements. The web interface is now more responsive, contains additional status information. The error reporting and input validation has been improved as well. The LumiNode / LumiCore short name is now used to indicate the source name inside sACN packets. This allows for easier identification of the sACN source. Various improvements to the LCD interface have been implemented. LumiNode / LumiCore reset using MAC address will now only work within the first 5 minutes after power up. This change is a safeguard against accidental reset of the device during operation. Reset using API or via the LCD display interface remains possible at all times. Sync packets are now also taken into account when determining the timeout of DMX ports. This means that sync packets also restart the ‘source timeout’ timers, preventing a ‘DMX lost’ indication when using sACN or Art-Net data sources that only transmit data at a 1 second interval, but use a higher rate for sending sync packets. An issue has been addressed where mDNS discovery would not longer work on some LumiNode models after a reboot.
