Release notes. GIGACORE V1.7.0 With this release, we introduce new features, support for new models, improvements, and bug fixes. Applicable Models: GigaCore 30i / 20t / 18t / 16t / 16tf / 16i / 10t / 10i / 10t-IP New Features GigaCore now supports various Layer 3 functions on the following models: GigaCore 16i, 16t, 16tf, 18t, 20t and 30i. - IP interface on non-management groups, including an option to access GigaCore configuration from other groups (VLANS). Further info can be found in this article from our knowledge base. - Layer 3 unicast routing between groups (VLANS). Further info can be found in this article from our knowledge base. - DHCP server functionality per group (VLAN). Further info can be found in this article from our knowledge base. Please note: The above features are not supported on GigaCore 10t, 10i and 10t-IP. --- Other Updates - GigaCore now supports IGMPv3 querier. It is now the default IGMP version when a GigaCore acts as the IGMP querier. This remains fully compatible with IGMPv2. - AVB-Milan can now be used with copper SFP modules. An automatic gPTP correction is applied when using Luminex copper SFP modules (product numbers: LU 90 01118 and LU 90 01127). - For improved support of devices such as media converters, network monitoring tools, or non-Luminex SFP modules, a gPTP correction can also be applied manually via API commands. --- Support for New Models - This firmware contains support for a new GigaCore model: GigaCore 10t-IP, a weather-sealed switch designed for outdoor use. - This release adds support for the new RPSU 5580 redundant power supply unit. This unit enables either power redundancy or PoE power sharing to increase the available PoE budget on GigaCore models 16i, 16t, 16tf, 18t, and 20t. Provided these are PoE models and thus equipped with the RPSU connector labeled “Second PSU.” --- Improvements: - Cooling fan control has been optimized to reduce noise levels and to remain completely silent at lower operating conditions. - An updated End User License Agreement (EULA) is implemented. - The IGMP maximum response time for general query messages following a leave message has been reduced from 10 seconds to 1 second. This allows GigaCore to stop forwarding the corresponding multicast stream quicker after a device leaves the group. - Various improvements have been made to the GigaCore web interface, for example improved input field validation. --- Bug Fixes - Previously, sending a PUT request to /api/groups/group with parameters for multiple groups could inadvertently create an unintended group. This issue has now been resolved.
